**About the Role:**
Ignite Recruitment is excited to represent a leading bespoke metalwork design and manufacturing workshop based in East London. Specializing in high-end, custom architectural metalwork, this dynamic workplace is seeking a talented and dedicated Metal Fabricator with expertise in MIG and TIG welding.
**Position Overview:**
This role is ideal for a skilled fabricator and welder with in-depth knowledge of metalwork and fabrication processes. You will be part of a team creating and installing custom architectural metal designs, including staircases and other bespoke structures. We are looking for a reliable, motivated professional who brings high standards, initiative, and a strong work ethic.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Fabricate and install custom architectural metalwork in-house and on-site.
- Operate MIG/ARC welding equipment with proficiency in TIG welding (essential).
- Work confidently from technical drawings, applying strong problem-solving skills.
- Consistently produce high-quality work to meet project standards.
- Effectively use hand and power tools for metalworking tasks.
- Keep a clean, organized work area and maintain equipment in excellent condition.
- Apply basic math to measure, cut, and shape materials accurately.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues with solid mechanical knowledge.
**Qualifications & Skills Required:**
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in architectural metal fabrication, including staircases or similar projects.
- Solid understanding of metalwork processes, fabrication, and assembly.
- Independent work capability with strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Experience with onsite installation and safe use of site equipment for steel erection (beneficial).
- Familiarity with the construction industry and supplier interactions is a plus.
**Additional Requirements:**
- Valid CSCS Card and Full UK Driving License.
**Salary:**
Competitive hourly rate of £17.00 - £20.00 (gross), with opportunities for overtime and training based on experience and skill level.
