Technical Project Manager Opportunity in Hertfordshire

Our client is looking for a Technical Project Manager in Hertfordshire. We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to take on a customer-facing role, engaging with existing clients and actively driving business development initiatives. As a hands-on leader, you'll oversee projects from initial quotation to final delivery, ensuring they meet the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Leadership:

    • Lead on-site teams to deliver projects, serving as a company ambassador.

    • Ensure projects exceed client expectations, leveraging company resources effectively.

  • Client Interaction:

    • Liaise with clients to understand project requirements, briefs, and deadlines.

    • Attend site visits and client meetings to collaboratively develop projects.

  • Technical Expertise:

    • Utilize strong background in lighting/audio/video system design and implementation.

    • Specify complete systems with in-depth technical knowledge in at least one core discipline.

  • Business Development:

    • Proactively seek opportunities for business growth and development.

    • Maintain a positive, can-do attitude, presenting to clients and handling budgets.

  • Documentation and Design:

    • Interpret project briefs, creating technical designs and equipment specifications.

    • Utilize AutoCAD to produce technical drawings supporting project designs.

  • Logistics and Resource Management:

    • Manage logistics across multiple projects for efficient resource utilization.

    • Liaise with internal and external suppliers to ensure appropriate project resourcing.

  • On-Site Supervision:

    • Supervise projects on-site, managing all aspects from load-in to load-out.

    • Collaborate with internal and external staff to ensure efficient project delivery.

  • Client Relations:

    • Build and nurture long-term relationships with clients.

    • Liaise with venues to establish positive relationships and ensure project success.

  • Administrative Tasks:

    • Create and manage project paperwork, including budgets and specifications.

    • Develop and maintain Health & Safety paperwork to support project designs.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in lighting/audio/video system design and implementation.

  • Excellent organizational skills and high computer literacy.

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office is highly beneficial.

  • Full driving license is extremely beneficial.

  • Flexibility for evening and weekend work in the live events industry.
