Introduction: Our client is seeking for a skilled Bench joiner to join their team!
Job Summary: As a Bench Joiner, you will be reporting to the assembly area team leader, the role is to execute the assembly of finished timber based product as per specifications and to the required level of quality. Attention to detail is key in this role as well as speed of execution. Some degree of hand machining will be involved in some of the work required
Location: Hertfordshire
Salary: £37 00 up to £39 000 per year
Key Responsibilities & Requirements:
Interpret 2D/3D CAD drawings and manufacturing documents for assembly tasks.
Collaborate with the Assembly team leader for guidance on tasks.
Attend handover meetings for project overviews and critical details.
Report issues during assembly; ensure fully machined components.
Use hand tools proficiently; work with various materials.
Maintain quality standards aligned with customer expectations.
Handle assembly of large elements within allocated timescales.
Provide input on assembly methods for current and future projects.
Adhere to Personal Protection Equipment guidelines.
General duties:
Occasionally there might be some requirement to attend sites in order to carry out some work but the role will be primary factory based.
Challenge current ways of working to increase shopfloor efficiency
Ensure factory housekeeping standards are maintained
Ensure health & safety standards are maintained at all times (use of PPE)
Ensure Environmental standards are maintained at all times
Assist with other business manufacturing processes whenever required.
Qualification:
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a bench joiner doing similar work is necessary
Possess own joinery tools is necessary
Knowledge of joinery assembly practices is necessary
Knowledge of timber material specification is necessary.
Previous experience in working in a factory environment would be an advantage
