A thriving production services company specializing in lighting, audio, video, and scenic solutions for live events is seeking a skilled individual to join their set & staging team in Borehamwood, Hertfordshire, as a CNC & Laser Cutter Operator. This role entails interpreting working drawings and briefs to set, program, and operate large format 3 axis CNC machines and laser cutters.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of construction techniques and proven experience with CNC machines. Familiarity with VCarve, Lightburn, and AutoCAD software would be advantageous, although comprehensive training will be provided.

We seek an enthusiastic individual with excellent communication skills who thrives both independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail, interpersonal finesse, and a willingness to learn and grow are essential attributes.

Given the dynamic nature of the live events industry, flexibility in working hours is required, including evenings and weekends. A full driving license is highly advantageous.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately interpret working drawings and briefs.
- Program and toolpath projects from digital drawings.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Prepare cut elements for assembly.
- Proactively maintain CNC and laser machinery.
- Assist with general carpentry and construction tasks.
- Adhere to company procedures and safety protocols.
- Report damages or losses promptly.
- Support onsite installations and liaise with stakeholders.
- Act as a positive ambassador for the company.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives.
- Undertake additional tasks as required.
