Role: Project Manager

Location : Leeds 

Role Introduction
My client are global specialists in the design and manufacture of door systems for mental health hospitals and other secure facilities where there is a risk of patient self-harm.

As we expand our operations, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team.

Position Overview: You will play a crucial role in coordinating and managing aspects of projects from point of order to completion. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are delivered on time and meet quality standards while working towards our core values of “Perfect Product, Happy Customer and Winning Team”.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of projects, ensuring adherence to scope and delivering on schedule.
  • Coordinate with sales, operations, production, install and logistics teams to establish project requirements, timelines, and resource allocations.
  • Conduct regular project meetings to communicate updates to valued clients, resolve challenges, and ensure alignment among stakeholders.
  • Foster a collaborative and positive work environment, motivating team members to achieve project objectives while maintaining high morale.
  • Assignment and management of subcontractors, ensuring that high standards have been achieved including sign off of benchmark installations, management of remedial works and commissioning of finished product
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, business administration, or related are desirable.
  • Proven experience in project management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in door manufacturing or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and quality standards.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as Microsoft Excel, Smartsheet and Salesforce.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Have the ability to read off plan and translate architectural documents and elevations.

The door systems are unique in the way that they are supplied fully-assembled and often have anti-barricade hinges, ligature pressure sensors and other specialist hardware that requires a high-level of expertise and care to ensure the product operates correctly.
We Group supply to NHS mental health trusts across the UK, this is either directly or through their supply-chain, the door systems are provided on a supply-only basis or increasingly as a supply and install package.
