**Project Manager

Ignite Recruitment is seeking a talented and experienced Project Manager for our client, specializing in the water and wastewater sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the full project life cycle, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and financial performance are met. This role requires a motivated professional with strong project management skills and experience in similar industries.
Role Summary:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end delivery of multiple projects, ensuring scope, budget, schedule, and quality targets are achieved.
- Drive project development, focusing on providing the best solutions for clients and ensuring clear communication throughout.
- Maintain accountability for project P&L, risk management, and issue mitigation.
- Implement project processes and controls to ensure high-quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
- Proactively promote a culture of Health, Safety, and Environmental excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and develop project opportunities through client relationships.
- Draft and present tailored project proposals to clients, considering requirements and constraints.
- Ensure clear project scope definition and manage all project phases using standard processes and procedures.
- Ensure customer satisfaction by delivering projects to agreed acceptance criteria.
- Maintain up-to-date reporting on project progress, budget variances, and risks.
- Manage resources from internal teams and subcontractors to deliver objectives.
- Conduct site inspections, prepare risk assessments, and ensure safety standards are upheld.
- Handle financial management, including controlling costs and invoicing schedules.
- Monitor subcontractor performance and manage supplier deliveries.
- Complete project handovers, ensuring a smooth transition to business-as-usual (BAU) operations.
Person Specification:
- Proven experience motivating and leading project teams.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
Required Experience:
- Demonstrated success in managing engineering projects, ideally within the water or wastewater sector.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies such as PRINCE2.
- Familiarity with engineering qualifications (HND essential, BEng/BSc preferred).
Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE):
- Carry out and record safety inspections, toolbox talks, and risk assessments.
- Investigate accidents and incidents in line with company and client protocols.
- Ensure staff compliance with PPE and QEHS (Quality, Environmental, Health & Safety) standards.
