Job Opportunity: Advance Steel/Tekla Draughtsman

We are a premier recruitment agency, seeking a skilled Advance Steel/Tekla Draughtsman on behalf of our esteemed client. This role involves working within the office, responsible for the design and drawings of structural steel structures and architectural metalwork, including balustrades, stairs, and balconies. Utilizing Tekla Structures or Advance Steel, you will create 3D models of steel and aluminum structures to the client's specifications. Your existing knowledge of the construction industry will be crucial in detailing cost-efficient designs that achieve optimal customer satisfaction. Drawings and models will be crafted to a high standard, ensuring presentation and quality meet both internal and external standards. This position offers the opportunity to work on high-profile projects across various sectors, including the racing industry, famous landmarks, commercial, and residential projects.

Duties:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Producing 3D models and general arrangement drawings based on engineers' and architects' drawings using Tekla Structures or Advance Steel.
- Producing general arrangement and detailed drawings in accordance with relevant standards and procedures.
- Creating fabrication drawings in PDF, DWG, NC & DXF format, producing material schedules and fixing lists.
- Ensuring the quality and completeness of all drawing information for projects under your remit.
- Maintaining high standards of delivery when producing or updating CAD drawings to internal and/or customer standards.
- Staying informed about current building standards and material specifications.
- Understanding connection design and development.
- Ensuring thorough checking and accuracy of deliverables and record documentation in line with company QA procedures.
- Collaborating efficiently with in-house design and procurement teams to meet agreed delivery schedules.
- Liaising externally with clients and visiting sites to ensure full customer requirements and satisfaction are met.

In addition to these duties, you may also be required to undertake other reasonable tasks corresponding to your skills and experience.

Qualifications/Experience:
- Preferred minimum of 5 years’ experience with 3D modelling software for structural steelwork.
- Experience with architectural metalwork is preferred.
