Job Description:

We are a retail display company who design and manufacture premium shop window and instore displays. Many of the projects we manufacture require LED lighting which can range from lit logos, faux neon signs, large LED lightboxes, strip lighting, programmable lighting systems to name a few. We are looking for someone who:

  • Manage LED/Lighting production on all projects from initial concept development through to build and installation

  • Managing a small team of LED technicians to ensure products are manufactured to the highest quality and in the timeframe needed. Organising additional support when workload requires in a timely manner.

  • Excellent communication amongst other departments to ensure optimum workflow 

  • Problem solving and fault finding are key attributes to succeed in the role. You must be able to adapt to last minute client changes/requests, short lead times and any unforeseen problems with products.

  • We would need a drive on production development and product innovation.

  • Taking care of stock control as well as finding alternative material suppliers. Making sure materials are in stock to complete all current work.

  • Must be able to supply electrical drawings for all work going in to production.

  • Keeping an up to date schedule of all current work, and incoming projects for the department. Scheduling staff for the month ahead based on this information.

  • QC of all technical drawings to ensure what smooth production. Put procedures in place within the department to ensure all goods are thoroughly QC’d before being installed.

  • To work as a team to ensure all goods are fit for purpose and safe to be installed/used.

  • Manage and implement electrical accreditation. ECA/NHBC

  • Fully brief in the installation team on all projects. Attendance on site may be needed on larger projects or on snag returns.

  • Must have 8-10 years experience as an LED technician and atleast 3 years as a manager would be beneficial.

  • Experience in MADRIX, Arduino or other programming control systems is essential.

  • Qualified City & Guilds Electrician is essential.
