Join Our Team as a Technical Manager / Technical Project Manager!

Are you passionate about creating unforgettable events and ensuring seamless technical execution? Our client is a leading company in the events industry seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in the role of Technical Manager / Technical Project Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop proposals and quotations for events, collaborating closely with project managers to guarantee successful planning and execution.

  • Oversee on-site event management from setup to teardown, including crew coordination.

  • Manage freelance technicians on-site, assigning tasks to meet deadlines effectively.

  • Assist Operations by recommending suitable freelance technicians from our database for projects.

  • Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of our equipment inventory and functionalities.

  • Monitor budgets to optimize profitability while maintaining high-quality standards.

  • Push creative boundaries to deliver exceptional events within client budgets.

  • Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure equipment is well-maintained and prepared for projects.

  • Act as the primary technical contact for project managers, coordinating all technical aspects.

  • Enhance project kits with necessary technical equipment for seamless operation.

  • Create detailed technical documentation for project drawings, including lighting plots and equipment positions.

  • Provide accurate power and rigging load calculations as needed for equipment allocation.

  • Uphold company health and safety policies in collaboration with project managers.

  • Manage equipment utilization and recommend innovative technologies that add value for both the company and clients.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Background in events, technical management, or equipment hire industries with supplier and subcontractor experience.

  • Proficiency in event technology brands like d&b, Analog Way, Robe, Chamsys, and Avolites.

  • Extensive knowledge of video, audio, lighting, and rigging; experience working with bands and touring artists.

  • Familiarity with technical CAD drawings; experience with VectorWorks preferred.

  • BS7909 certification preferred; basic understanding of temporary electrical systems required.

  • Ability to create video schematics for complex systems preferred; basic knowledge essential.
